Geroge T. Purcell

George T. Purcell, 70, of St. Johns, passed away Friday, April 11, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in his home.
Mr. Purcell was the retired Manager of the Drivers License Facility in Pinckneyville.  He was born October 1, 1932 in Du Quoin, the son of Henry E. and Lyla (Elledge) Purcell.  He married Nobue YoYo Tsutsui on December 9, 1955 in Tokyo, Japan.
Surviving are his wife, YoYo; one son and daughter-in-law, George and Darrie Purcell of Du Quoin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lyla and  Bruce Queen of Cabit, Arkansas and Sherry and Shannon Raines of Du Quoin; brothers, Henry Purcell of Oakridge, Tennessee, William Purcell of Centralia, Robert Purcell of Fort Worth, Texas and Roger Rosan of Detroit, Michigan; half-brothers, Eugene Wisely of St. Louis,  Mo. and Harold Wisely of St. Louis, Mo. and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 16 at 1 p.m. at Neal-McClure Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jackie Davison officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends called Wednesday at Neal-McClure Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until time of services.
